A story is not a record.
Pig Man Road holds the tension between oral traditions, reported accounts and original fiction without presenting uncertain details as proven historical events.
Different tellings. Different kinds of truth.
A legend can evolve each time it is told. The archive's task is to preserve the provenance of an account, not silently combine multiple tellings into a supposedly definitive history.
Reports of strange events, remembered stories and place-associated folklore will be described as accounts. Without corroboration, we will not recast a report as independently proven.
Original Pig Man entertainment may draw inspiration from the atmosphere of these stories, but fictional characters or plotlines are not evidence about actual people or events.
Not every version tells the same story.
Read the black Ford, animal-head and other legend variants as carefully attributed narrative retellings, not authenticated eyewitness statements.
